Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. We're glad you are interested in the field of electrical engineering and computer sciences.

In the 21st century, people are facing many complex issues in wide-ranging fields, such as information processing, telecommunications, semiconductor manufacturing, and energy supplies. It goes without saying that extremely specialized knowledge is insufficient to cope well with such issues. In other words, we should design undergraduate education so that students can acquire fundamental knowledge in various fields as well as the most advanced knowledge associated with specific technologies.
Our department offers the following three courses for the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.):

Electric Power Systems Course
Electronic Devices and Circuits Course
Information Systems Course

Students working toward a B.E. degree select one of the three programs above. We believe that our graduates will have modern knowledge and skills for developing systems in their selected field, and will be able to create powerful technological innovations as top level engineers.

Three curriculum programs, which provide knowledge on electrical engineering and computer sciences:
* Electric Power Systems Course
* Electronic Devices and Circuits Course
* Information Systems Course

Points
The mission of the EECS department is to
  • Foster researchers/engineers with innovative technologies from among electric energy, LSI, and information technologies.
  • Create knowledge of fundamental principles and practical skills on electrical engineering and computer sciences.
  • Serve the communities in which we live, at local, national and international levels, by transferring the "technological seeds" born in this department.
