Career Center
The University of Hyogo has a Career Center on each campus to support students in career development and job hunting.
In the School of Engineering and Graduate School of Engineering, faculty members in charge of career guidance are assigned to each course or field and work with the Career Center to support undergraduate and graduate students.
Support System and Activities
Career Development Seminars
These seminars help students improve the skills and initiative needed to realize their own career plans and develop the mindset to make independent choices.
- Career Guidance
- Students are encouraged to see their whole lives, including future work, family planning, hobbies, and the environments in which they wish to live, as part of career design.
- Basic Skills for Working Adults
- Students build a foundation for lifelong career development in a society where work styles and family structures are becoming increasingly diverse.
- Group Work
- Through group discussions and group work, students understand their roles and characteristics in groups and develop communication skills that respect both themselves and others.
- Industry and Company Research
- Students learn how to understand industries and companies from multiple perspectives, including company handbooks, corporate philosophy, and SDGs, and how to reflect this knowledge in application documents.
- Alumni Roundtable Sessions
- By hearing experiences from alumni and senior students with job offers, students can form clearer images of their futures and reduce concerns about career choices and job hunting.
Application Document Review and Mock Interviews
Students learn how to clarify what they want to communicate, understand what information should be conveyed, choose content that is easy to understand, and express it effectively in writing and speaking.
Career Counseling
Students can receive support not only for concerns about future paths, employment, and occupational choices, but also for self-understanding and communication issues.
Company and Industry Research Events
With the cooperation of the University of Hyogo Cooperative, opportunities are provided for students of all faculties and for students in the School of Engineering and Graduate School of Engineering to participate in online and in-person internship company research meetings, industry and company research meetings, and joint company information sessions.
